BEST IN BEAUTY - $20.00 OFF IN JUNE
SkinCeuticals A.G.E. Interrupter is the winner Health Magazine’s BEST Antiaging facial moisturizer for 2009.
The fountain of youth might not be available in a jar (yet), but this superhydrating moisturizer comes pretty darn close. True, it’s not cheap ($150), but it actually prevents collagen and elastin breakdown (the two big skin agers) deep in the skin with blueberry extract, while stimulating new collagen, says judge Rosemarie Ingleton, MD.
Translation: fewer wrinkles and less sagging.
A.G.E. Interrupter
Intrinsic aging, caused by internal factors such as hormonal shifts and metabolic slowdown, contributes greatly to skin sagging, creping, thinning, and cracking. A.G.E. Interrupter is a unique treatment formulated with 4% blueberry extract, 30% Proxylane, and 0.2% phytospingosine to help prevent the glycation process and correct severe signs of intrinsic aging in mature skin. This multi-faceted and uniquely-textured formulation is optimized to prevent and correct the most visible signs of aging, while minimizing the associated discomfort of dryness.
Ingredients
Blueberry Extract: both an antioxidant and anti-glycation ingredient that inhibits advanced glycation while preventing further oxidation from occurring.
Proxylane: rebuilds the support structure that degrades as a direct result of intrinsic aging and efficiently improves anchorage of the skins upper layers onto the dermis to increase elasticity and thickness.
Phytospingosine: protects the skin’s barrier, while rich emollients hydrate dry skin.
Usage and recommendations
Mature/postmenopausal skin
Age-related moisture loss
Dry, dull, or delicate skin
I love this product (just so happens I fit into the above group) and have seen dramatic results in my skin. For any of you who would like to know more about what glycation is, please let me know. Keep up the hydration and, of course, lots of sunscreen and have a great summer.
To your skin health,
Linda
