RevitaLash Update
Many of you are already great fans of RevitaLash but you may have heard, a new prescription “eyelash” product is being launched into the marketplace this week. As a result, there may be some confusion regarding the differences between this new drug and the “cosmetic” product, RevitaLash.
Over the past two years, thousands of customers have used RevitaLash with wonderful results and no adverse events. The product has unprecedented brand awareness and carries an excellent safety profile. RevitaLash supports Breast Cancer Research initiatives and provides the best lash conditioner (and now a great new product, HAIR byRevitaLash) for our loyal customers.
Here’s the Scoop: The new prescription product and RevitaLash are distinctly different products. The new prescription drug, sold in pharmacies, drug stores and participating physician offices (after a physician's examination,) was created for the purpose and intent of treating a medical condition known as hypotrichosis. In contrast, RevitaLash is strictly a cosmetic product, sold with the sole intent of improving the beauty of the eyelashes, and not sold in drug stores or pharmacies.
1) Client/Patient COST COMPARISON:
6-Month Supply of RevitaLash = $150 (MSRP) = 1 tube lasts approximately 6 months
Month Supply of New Prescription Product = $720 (MSRP) = 1 kit lasts 1 month so patient would need 6 kits at $120 (MSRP) each per month.
2) Note that the prescription product’s active ingredient is “bimatoprost”, the prostaglandin analog that was the subject of tremendous speculation, concern and discussion last year. (Revitalash does not contain a prostaglandin analog, yet delivers excellent results.)
3) RevitaLash contains a “thickener” that gives the product a “gel-like” consistency. This helps the product stay on the skin (where it’s meant to be) and minimizes the chance of the product getting into the eyes, thus reducing chance of irritation.
I hope you find this information helpful. I’m sticking with what I know works and love!
